Since 1956 Milano Bakery has grown into a highly-trusted and recognized brand in Metro-Detroit. In
1975, it was acquired by new owners and has been family owned since and has grown organically
throughout the years.
Originally located on Detroit’s eastside and westside, the current-day facility is located in the Historic
Eastern Market and was built from the ground up. Milano bakery has been at its current 20,000 sq. ft.,
fully automated facility since 1999 and continues to bake delicious breads and rolls at a high volume,
retaining our authentic “old world” tradition of baking on the hearth.
Due to the success of the business and the popularity of our products, we needed a location where we
could scale efficiently without losing the quality and still be able to provide that “familiar” type of
environment for our staff. We currently produce 2,600 loaves per hour and 1,600 dozen buns and rolls
per hour. All of our products are baked fresh daily and shipped out to our customers.
We provide our customers with innovative, practical and top-quality bakery products, which fulfill the
need for quality, fresh, & health-Conscious baked goods. We are Kosher Certified and conduct monthly
inspections with the Rabbi. We are also BRC Certified and follow GMPs in our facility and maintain yearly
inspections with a passing score (A).
We are excited to bring back our specialty items: Sourdough and Multi-Grain Breads which are offered in
a variety of sizes.
